Apakah Paket Drive Chain ?

 Paket Drive Chain/rantai adalah paket yang terdiri dari gir depan, gir belakang, dan rantai yang berfungsi untuk menggerakkan roda belakang.

 

Komponen Paket Drive Chain

Paket Drive Chain terdiri dari :

  • Sprocket Drive (Fr Sprocket/Gir Depan/Gigi Tarik)
  • Drive Chain (Rantai)
  • Sprocket Driven (Rr Sprocket/Gir Belakang)



Spesifikasi Paket Drive Chain

1. Sprocket Drive (Gear Depan)


Sprocket adalah suatu bentuk roda dengan profil gigi di sisi luarnya yang sesuai untuk mentransfer putaran dengan media rantai.
Sprocket Drive dibuat dari bahan Baja Karbon dengan pengerasan merata pada seluruh bagian.

Ada 2 macam proses pembuatan gigi Sprocket :

  • Fine Blanking, dengan menggunakan cetakan dan mesin press membentuk sekaligus seluruh gigi
 
  • Hobbing, dengan menggunakan proses permesinan biasa pembentukan gigi secara bertahap

 

2. Drive Chain (Rantai Roda)


Berfungsi sebagai media penghubung yang meneruskan putaran dari Sprocket Drive (Fr Sprocket) ke Sprocket Driven (Rr Sprocket).
Drive Chain ini disusun oleh beberapa komponen yang dibuat dari lembaran Baja Carbon dan Baja Paduan dengan proses pengerasan pada seluruh komponennya.
Drive Chain dilumasi dengan Grease (gemuk) dengan dicelup sehingga tidak ada bagian yang tidak terlumasi. Grease ini berguna mengurangi keausan akibat gesekan antar komponen.

Komponen penyusun Drive Chain adalah :


1. Pin Link Plate, sebagai pemegang Pin yang akan menahan beban keseluruhan dari Rantai 
2. Bush Link Plate, sebagai pemegang Bush yang akan menahan beban keseluruhan dari Rantai
3. Bush, sebagai bearing bagi Pin sehingga terlindung dari beban kejut
4. Roller, berfungsi untuk memuluskan gerakan rantai pada Sprocket sehingga mengurangi beban kejut
5. Pin, sebagai penahan beban yang bekerja pada rantai

3. Sprocket Driven (Gear Belakang)



Sprocket Driven atau biasa disebut dengan Gir Belakang sesuai dengan letaknya merupakan penerima putaran dari rantai untuk menggerakkan roda belakang.
Sprocket Driven dibuat dari baja karbon dan dilapis dengan seng (Zn Plating) agar tidak mudah karat.
Sprocket Driven (Gear belakang) ini ada yang menggunakan Rim pada model Honda : GL Pro, Mega Pro, Tiger, dan Blade
Fungsi Rim adalah sebagai pelindung jika rantai putus atau lepas sehingga tidak tersangkut di baut Sprocket.

  • Bagaimana cara merawat rantai dan Gir agar awet?

1. Jangan biarkan rantai kering, segera lumasilah agar tidak terjadi keausan pada Bush dan Roller 
2. Bersihkan Rr Sprocket dari debu atau kotoran yang menempel, karena dapat memperpendek umur rantai dan mempercepat keausan Sprocket

  • Apakah Rantai boleh di potong?

Setel Rantai bila sudah mulai kendor. Jika sudah tidak dapat disetel jangan dipotong, segera ganti dengan yang baru.

The Drive Chain Set consists of:

• Sprocket Drive (Front Sprocket / Front Gear/ Pull Gear)
• Drive Chain (Chain)
• Sprocket Driven (Rr Sprocket / Rear Gear)

Specification of Drive Chain Set

1. Sprocket Drive (Front Gear)

Sprocket is a wheel shape gear with outer gear proportionate profile to transfer the torsion via chain. Sprocket Drive is made of Carbon Steel material with even hardening pressure on all surface.

There are 2 kinds of Sprocket production process:

- Fine Blanking, by using mold and pressing machine forming all teeth at once

- Hobbing, using ordinary machining toll creating the gear tooth one by one

2. Drive Chain

Serves as a connecting medium that transform the torsion of Sprocket Drive (Fr Sprocket) to Sprocket Driven (Rr Sprocket). The Drive Chain is composed by several components made out of Carbon Steel and Alloy Steel sheets with even hardening process on all surface. Drive Chain is lubricated and dyed with Grease so there will be no section that are not lubricated. Grease is useful to reduce wear due to friction between components.

Components of Drive Chain are:

1. Pin Link Plate, as the Pin holder that will hold the overall load of chain

2. Bush Link Plate, as Bush holder that will hold the overall load of chain

3. Bush, as bearing for Pin so as to be protected from shock load

4. Roller, serves to smooth the chain movement on the Sprocket so as to reduce the shock load

5. Pin, as a load holder working on the chain

3. Sprocket Driven (Rear Gear)

Sprocket Driven or commonly referred to as Rear Gear in accordance with its position torsion receiver from chain to spin the rear wheel.

Sprocket Driven is made of carbon steel and zinc plated to prevent rust.

Sprocket Driven (rear gear) is using Rim on Honda model: GL Pro, Mega Pro, Tiger, and Blade

The Rim function is to protect if the chain is broken or loose so that it does not get stuck in the sprocket bolt.

   How to take care of the chain and gear to be last longer?

1. Do not let the chain dry, immediately put grease to avoid wear and tear on Bush and Roller

2. Clean Rr Sprocket from dust or dirt, because it can shorten the life span of the chain and speed up the sprocket wear

  Can we cut chain ?

We can tune the chain when it starts to loose. After few time tuning and the chain can no longer be tuned then please do not cut the chain. Immediately replace with new one.
